PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor with an encoder that facilitates mounting work of a motor with an encoder by means of a jig without applying pressure to a cover covering a rotary encoder. SOLUTION: When fixing a motor 6 with an encoder to a motor box 1a, a protrusion 22 of a jig 20 is inserted into a cover 2 along a sleeve 17 so as to bring the protrusion 22 into contact with the tip of a rotary shaft 8. The motor 6 with an encoder is fixed onto the wall face on the rear surface side of the motor box 1a with screws 3. In this case, even if the motor 6 with an encoder is pressed against the jig side, the pressure is absorbed by the rotary shaft 8. Consequently, it is possible to facilitate mounting work of the motor 6 with an encoder by means of the jig without applying pressure to the cover 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
