PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and speed up a communication route management between respective node devices in a communication system in which one or more node devices are connected mutually through a transmission line and a plurality of repeaters connected thereto. SOLUTION: Routes among a number of node devices are not managed directly but while grasping communication between node devices at each repeater, a summary of the route management among a smaller number of repeaters is first determined and in accordance with the situation, channels of node devices are assigned to respective routes.
