PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable radio equipment, where the diameter of a coaxial cable that electrically connects the circuit board of a lower casing and the circuit board of an upper casing is made short and antenna performance can be improved. SOLUTION: A ground pattern of the circuit board 103 in the lower casing 11, and a ground pattern of the circuit board 104 in the upper casing 12 are electrically connected by a first engaging part 15 and a second engaging part 46, at an end part 37 in a longitudinal direction of a side opposite from an exterior antenna 108. As a result of this, the phase of the antenna current, caused to flow to the ground pattern to each other, become the same phase between the lower casing 11 and the upper casing 12, improving antenna performance. Since the ground pattern of the circuit board 103 in the lower casing 11 is electrically connected to the ground pattern of the circuit board 104, in the upper casing 12 by the first engaging part 15 and the second engaging part 46, the number of cables going through a connection part 13 can be reduced to simplify the configuration of the connection part 13, improving designability and making the portable radio equipment compact.
