PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing a guard net capable of reducing an overall working time while reducing a high lift working time. SOLUTION: This method of constructing a guard net comprises a pulley fixing step of fixing a plurality of pulleys near a guard net stretching place, a rope insertion step of inserting one ends of lifting ropes into the pulleys, a guard net lifting step of lifting the guard net through the pulleys by pulling down the one end sides of the lifting ropes inserted into the pulleys to stretch the guard net at the stretching place, and a lifting rope fixing step of stretching the guard net at the stretching place by fixing the lifting ropes and suspending the guard net by the lifting ropes. The plurality of lifting ropes have the other ends which are fixed to the outer peripheral portion of the guard net at predetermined intervals.
