PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe inhibitor of optic nerve disorder, having excellent activity for inhibiting optic nerve disorder (such as activity for suppressing reduction of optic nerve cells), and to provide a food and drink containing the inhibitor of the optic nerve disorder.

SOLUTION: The inhibitor of the optic nerve disorder contains an extract of Astragalus complanatus R.Br. The food and drink contain the inhibitor of the optic nerve disorder.
