PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access control device controlling access to each recording area on a disk upon receiving a command with a time limit required to terminate a process within a specified time, which automatically performs alternation for read and write accesses without causing timeout. SOLUTION: A process corresponding to the command with a time limit is carried out. When an access failure occurs, an address of an inaccessible recording area is recorded in a memory such as a RAM, and when the data recorded in the inaccessible recording area are acquired, the data are recorded in the memory in association with the address of the inaccessible recording area. An automatic alternation is carried out on the recording area for data recorded on the memory in a remaining time up to the specified maximum time limit, and when the automatic alternation succeeds, the address and data of the recording area where automatic alternation has succeeded are deleted from the memory.
