PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device, an input method and electric equipment, wherein the operation is made possible while minimizing the movement of the finger, so as to reduce the labor of the finger and to improve operability. SOLUTION: Operation keys, that is, a left operation key 2 (←), an upper operation key (up arrow) 3, a lower operation key (down arrow) 4 and a right operation key (→) 5 are horizontally arranged in a row at prescribed intervals. When the left operation key 2 is arranged at the leftmost side, and the right operation key 5 is arranged at the right most side, and the upper operation key 3 is arranged adjacently to the left side of the left operation key 2, and the lower operation key 4 is arranged adjacently to the left side of the right operation key 5.
