PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make information displayed in a display region easy to be seen when operating a wiper. SOLUTION: This head-up display device 1A for displaying information in the display region set on windshield of a vehicle includes a display device 15 for displaying prescribed information in the display region as a display part, a wiper operation deciding part 21 for deciding whether or not the wiper is operated, a wiper position detecting part 22 for detecting the position of the wiper on the windshield, and an overlapped region calculating part 23 for calculating an overlapped region where the wiper is overlapped with the display region based on an output of the wiper position detecting part 22. When it is decided that the wiper is operated by the wiper operation deciding part 21, the display device 15 makes luminance of the display part in the overlapped region where the wiper is overlapped with the display region smaller than that of the display part in a non-overlapped region where the wiper is not overlapped with the display region.
