The invention discloses a device and a method for automatically assembling a lateral bracket of a flapdoor shell applied to an elevator door. The device comprises a temporary assembly unit for providing the flapdoor shell to the temporary assembly position of the lateral bracket, temporarily assembling the lateral bracket to a random end of the flapdoor shell, and arranging the temporary assembled flapdoor shell and the lateral bracket to a fastened embedding position; a pressure fastened embedding unit for carrying out a first time fastened embedding and a second time fastened embedding on a part where the temporarily assembled flapdoor shell and the lateral bracket are overlapped; a conveying unit for changing the fastened embedding position of the temporarily assembled flapdoor shell and the lateral bracket; a discharging unit for discharging the flapdoor shell and the lateral bracket to the pressure fastened embedding unit; and a control unit for controlling all the operations of the temporary assembly unit, the pressure fastened embedding unit, the conveying unit and the discharging unit. The device is capable of automatically assembling the lateral bracket to the flapdoor shell, thus can realize automation to traditional assembling of the flapdoor shell and the lateral bracket, thus can reduce the operation time and improve productivity gain. |
