The method of activated carbon production includes treatment of carbon-containing materials with activation agent containing water steam and carbon dioxide in reactor located in heating chamber, whereby hydrocarbon fuel combustion products are supplied through the heating chamber to the upper part of the reactor and saturated water steam is supplied to the lower part of the reactor. ^ EFFECT: invention ensures utilisation of CO2 generated during gas combustion in the process of charcoal activation, and cheapens the process. ^ 1 dwg
