The rail (12) has a guiding device (20) supported by a carrier element (22), where the guiding device guides an openable pane (38). The device and element are formed in a single-piece. The element is completely enclosed by the device. The guiding device has a fastening area (24), by which the rail fastens corresponding fastening area (26) on sides of a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car. The guiding device is formed of plastic. The area (24) is formed as a recess i.e. groove, and the area (26) is formed as a rib of a door carrier part (10) that is designed as cast part.
