A power seal bolt assembly (10) includes a bolt (12) having a head land a shaft (21) having an unthreaded shaft portion (22) and a threaded portion. (24) A washer (20) is fixed to the bolt (12) proximate to the head (14) A compressible washer retainer (21) frictionally engages the unthreaded shaft portion (22) and contacts the head (14). The compressible washer retainer (28) includes a retainer portion (30) having flexible legs (58) extending inwardly into a washer retainer through aperture (60) The flexible legs (58) flex to frictionally engage the retainer portion (30) to the unthreaded shaft portior (22). A compressible washer portion (32) homogenously connected to the retainer portion (30) is oriented to contact the washer (20) when a bolt torque is applied. The compressible washer portion (32) includes at least one raised ring (52,54) contacting the washer (20) to create a fluid seal at the washer (20), and at least one partial cavity (56) permitting the compression washer portion (32) to axially compress upon application of the torque.
