<p>A wireless mesh network of fixed radio nodes each having at least two wireless radio transceivers, which may be configured for half-duplex transmission, arranged for isotropic transmission and reception at respective predetermined frequencies, in which the mesh comprises a single geometric closed loop element, which may be one of a triangle, square, rhombus and regular hexagon, that is tiled, in which the nodes are on the vertices of the elements if they have multiple radios but on the arcs of the elements if they have two radios, and in which the radio frequencies are allocated statically to the radios and the nodes are configured for hop-by-hop transmission across the mesh network such that only one frequency is allowed within each element but that frequency is allowed also in non-adjacent elements, whereby a predetermined limited number of permissible frequencies is distributed over the mesh network whilst minimising mutual radio interference between radios on the same frequency.</p> |
