<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation in image quality by maintaining cleaning performance for a long period of time while preventing the early deterioration of the edge of a cleaning blade and the surface of an image carrier which an image forming apparatus has. <P>SOLUTION: A spring G is wound around a shank 35c on the left side in Figure of a bracket 35 for screwing a cleaning blade 17 by means of a blade holder 34 to energize the blade holder 34 to a right side. The tip of the shank 35c on the right side in Figure is thereby pressed to a cam surface 39a of a rocking gear 39 via a pin. The rocking gear is rotated by rotating a driving gear 41, to rock the cleaning blade. The rocking width of the cleaning blade is increased with lapse of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
