<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video receiver which reduces a network transmission band by determining the approval and disapproval of a retransmission request on the basis of the priority of video data. <P>SOLUTION: A network I/F part 2 detects an error and an omission of video data 11 received through a network and outputs the detected error and omission as transmission error information 14, and a storing and reproducing part 3 reproduces video data 13 received by the network I/F part 2 while storing video data 13. When the network I/F part 2 inputs the transmission error information 14, a retransmission requesting part 4 determines the approval and disapproval of the retransmission request of the video data on the basis of the priority of the video data 11, and makes a retransmission request to a transmission source of the video data 11 from the network I/F part 2 through the network in the case of making the transmission request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
