Device for accumulating yarns

The device has a chute (13) for receiving and guiding a strand, which is formed by a yarn take-up device and a carriage for taking up a yarn roll. The carriage is guided on the chute and supports on an end of the strand of the side that is opposite to the yarn take-up device. The chute is equipped with a transport unit (16) e.g. conveyor belt, at the outlet of the yarn take-up device, where the transport unit is driven in synchronism with the speed with which the strand is formed. The transport unit adapts to the inside shape of the chute.
