The device has a guide vane device (1) with a set of guide vanes (2) supported at a vane bearing ring (4) by vane pins (3) in a rotatable manner. A vane lever (5) carries a radially and outwardly arranged lever head (7) that is engaged into a corresponding recess (8) of an adjusting ring (9) i.e. shovel bearing ring, that is coaxially to the bearing ring. The adjusting ring has external teeth (4') extending in a circumferential direction and merging with complementarily designed teeth of an operation unit (6) e.g. worm gear, of a guide vane adjusting unit (10) e.g. electric motor.
