<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UWB (Ultra-Wide-Band) device in which power consumption is lowered and signal seizing time is shortened even when positioning and ranging as well as communications are applied. <P>SOLUTION: The UWB device has: a BPF (Band-Pass Filter) 2 outputting a band-pass signal by removing an unnecessary signal located outside a required frequency band with respect to a UWB reception signal obtained by receiving a UWB signal electric wave; a LPF (Low-Pass Filter) 4 outputting a low-pass signal by removing a high frequency component with respect to the band-pass signal and by converting the band-pass signal into a smooth waveform; a seizing-dedicated channel section 5 conducting the initial seizing for seizing the specified UWB signal electric wave; respective channel sections CH1-CHN conducting tracking processing after completing the initial seizing and applied to each UWB device being a communication party or ranging object; and a control section 11 extracting and determining the clock frequency or the code phase of each of the UWB reception signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
