PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control system having an address that reflects an installation of the device. SOLUTION: The device control system is provided with an addressing device, a branched unit, and a control unit, the branched unit and control unit each store a matrix-form address as its address, the matrix-form address defines a coordinate system consisting of mutually independent line writing directions and column writing directions on a plane, line writing directional values and column writing directional values at points where each disposition location of a plurality of the branches units and a plurality of the control units are projected on the plane are expressed in a matrix form, if the arrangement directions of a plurality of the branched units are the same column directions, the initial value of the line writing directional value is set at "1" and the initial value of the column writing directional value is set at "0", if the arrangement directions of a plurality of the branched units are the same line directions, the initial value of the line writing directional value is set at "0" and the initial value of the column writing directional value is set at "1".
