PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which is capable of easily performing magnification and trimming in an arbitrary size and at an arbitrary position and can be stably held by an operator. SOLUTION: In an electronic still camera 11, a + button 30 and a - button 31 are operated with the thumb of the right hand of an operator and a cross key 35 with a center click is operated with the thumb of his/her left hand to magnify a regenerative image in an arbitrary size and at an arbitrary position. Furthermore, in this case, a shutter button SB is pressed with the forefinger of his/her right hand to fetch (perform trimming of) the magnified image into a memory card as another image.
