The bearing has two bearing halves (2, 3) surrounding a shaft (1) and lying together against a separation plane. A transition of one of the bearing halves is formed in a chamfered back and/or rounded off manner. A chamfer (6) is produced and/or rounded by grinding, lapping, stone/belt finishing and/or brushing and by chemical vapor deposition process, physical vapor deposition process and/or galvanic process.
