<p>An electronically operated, variable flush toilet cistern wherein (i) a bistable latching solenoid valve (20) is used to control the supply of water (7) from the mains plumbing by an infra red motion detector (15) and associated circuitry (24) and (ii) a double throw micro switch (16) with small float (17) and associated circuitry (22) respectively, is used to control the filling of the cistern (1). The lifting of a vertical cylindrical float (4) and seal (5) allows water to flush into the toilet pan (3), and a selectable volume of water is used for flushing by means of a magnet (14), steel shield (12), knob (13), and steel disc (11) attached to the top of the vertical cylindrical float.</p> |
