The system has a device (D1) arranged upstream of a radio access network (RAR) and with a controller (CS1) extracting content from a cache memory (M1) to transfer it to an application (LC) i.e. media player. A device (D2) i.e. socket type application programming interface, arranged in a mobile phone (UE) controls access to a cache memory (M2) storing the content used by the application. The device (D2) communicates with the device (D1) at a level of a temporary storage protocol layer for discontinuous transfer of the content from the memory (M1) to memory (M2) and then to the application.
