The bit (1) has a drill body (3) comprising a chip flute (4) and an auger bit outer surface (31) defining the chip flute. The outer surface is formed with a friction reducing surface structure (32) in a region of a main cutting edge region (2). The edge region is formed as a drill head connected with a base body of the bit, where the outer surface is extended section wise over the base body and the drill head. The outer surface comprises a recess (33) in a region of the structure (32), and sum of surfaces of the recess amounts to 0.3 times of surfaces of the outer surface.
