<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase of data size by optimally determining a portion to be converted from a vector edge into a scan line edge. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for forming an image by receiving an electronic document and PDL data constituted of a plurality of image objects (for example, characters, images and graphics) includes: a means for creating a display list constituted of the vector edge; and a process to extract lines that obstruct the plotting speed.
