<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information measuring apparatus for solving the problem of direct current in spectrum diffusion and improving the use efficiency of the frequency in related to measurement and measuring the biological information according to the metabolism of a living body. <P>SOLUTION: A light exit part 1 modulates a base band signal with spectrum diffusion at the chip frequency f in order to form a primary modulating signal, and furthermore, it forms a secondary modulating signal modulated at the frequency 2f. Moreover, a near-infrared ray having a specific wavelength exits in a living body based on a secondary modulating signal. A light detecting part 2 receives a ray reflected in the living body at an effective detecting area 2f and changes it to an electric detecting signal, and the changed detecting signal is changed to a digital signal at a sampling frequency 4f. Additionally, this changed detecting signal is demodulated at a frequency 2f to form a primary demodulating signal, and furthermore, it is modulated by spectrum diffusion to form a secondary demodulating signal.
