PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having adequate electrical properties, capable of forming a good image even after long-term repeated use, and also having optical fatigue resistance, and an electrophotographic apparatus using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a compound having 2-10 sulfur acid derivative structures and the sulfur acid derivative structure is a sulfur acid ester.
