PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital photographic apparatus capable of subject image observation by an optical finder and subject image observation with live view display by an imaging element, without a switching operation, and, in addition, capable of measuring a distance speedily. SOLUTION: A single-lens reflex camera 1, which is the digital photographic apparatus, includes a lens barrel 2 and a camera body 3. The camera body 3 has: a movable half mirror 4 that reflects a subject luminous flux passed through the photographic lens 22 and is rotatable between an entry position where it enters a transmitted optical path and a retracting position; a screen 9 on which a subject image is formed from the subject luminous flux from the photographic lens; and a fixed half mirror 8 that reflects and transmits the subject luminous flux reflected by the movable half mirror 4.
