PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that is made compact and efficiently exhausts a medium supplied to such portions as a bearing, a coil end, or the like, sequentially through an exhaust hole formed in a casing. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes: a motor case 400 wherein a storage chamber 450 for storing a rotor 120 and a stator 130 is formed; a shielding plate which is provided in the stator 130 and is provided in such a manner as to be away from an end face of the rotor 120, which is located in the central axis direction of the rotor 120, while covering at least part of the end face of the rotor 120; and a liquid medium channel for supplying a liquid medium to the portions to which the liquid medium is to be supplied. The liquid medium passes through a region of the storage chamber 450, which is located on the opposite side to the rotor 120 relative to the shielding plate, and is exhausted through the exhaust hole 402 formed in the motor case 400.
