PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove a fixed pattern noise of a longitudinal stripe shape (longitudinal-stripe noise). SOLUTION: A memory 175 outputs correction signals C(m) and D(m) corresponding to an output system of a CMOS image sensor which has output an input (an output signal of an address (m, n) of the CMOS image sensor 101) under the control of a control unit 176. A subtracter 171 subtracts a black level from the input. A multiplier 172 multiplies an output signal X(m, n) of the subtracter 171 by the correction signal C(m). An adder 173 adds the correction signal D(m) to an output signal C(m)*X(m, n) of the multiplier 172. An output signal Y(m, n)=C(m)*X(m, n)+D(m) of the adder 173 does not include a longitudinal-stripe noise even when the signal X(m, n) includes the longitudinal-stripe noise. An adder 174 adds the black level back to the output signal (m, n) of the multiplier 173, and outputs the result. Not only an offset component, but also the correction signals corresponding to a light-quantity dependent component are used, so the longitudinal-stripe noise can be effectively removed.
