PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal device for surface mounting which is enhanced in the fixing strength of a crystal piece to a container body. SOLUTION: In the crystal device for surface mounting constituted by fixing an outer peripheral portion of the crystal piece 2 having lead-out electrodes 6b1 and 6b2 extended from driven electrodes 6a1 and 6a2 on both principal surfaces to a crystal terminal on a base internal bottom surface with a conductive adhesive, the lead-out electrodes 6b1 and 6b2 of the crystal piece 2 are formed only on the same surfaces with the principal surfaces where the driven electrodes 6a1 and 6a2 are formed, the outer peripheral portion where the lead-out electrodes 6b1 and 6b2 are extended has a through-hole 9 where the ground of the crystal is exposed or a notch formed at an end surface, and the conductive adhesive on a reverse surface as a fixation surface for the crystal piece 2 is applied from the reverse surface to the top surface as an opposite surface through the through-hole 9 or the notch.
