PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens grinder enabling the user to accurately and easily know a dressing timing for eliminating the clogging of a grinding wheel. SOLUTION: This lens grinder comprises a grinding wheel (V-groove grinding wheel 19) or a finishing wheel for grinding a lens to be ground and a grinding wheel spindle 12 for rotating the grinding wheel (V-groove grinding wheel 19) or the finishing grinding wheel. The lens grinder further comprises a rotational speed measuring means (counter 103) for measuring the rotational speed of the grinding wheel spindle 12 and a display means (liquid crystal display 8) for displaying a dressing warning when the rotational speed of the grinding wheel spindle 12 up to the finishing is larger than a predetermined one.
