The invention relates to a blood withdrawal device, comprising a sample vessel (8), which receives from the lower end thereof a sealably guided, displaceable plunger means and on the upper end thereof on the withdrawal side is provided with an annular, dome-shaped extension (7), onto which for blood removal a cannula holder and after blood removal in exchange for the cannula holder a ventilation attachment (1) can be temporarily placed, wherein the ventilation attachment has a blood outlet opening (9), which is connected downstream of the dome-shaped extension and ends in a ventilatable hollow space (3) collecting the blood displaced from the sample vessel. For such a blood removal device, a ventilation attachment is to be created that is operationally and functionally safe. In order to achieve this, the blood outlet opening (9) is on top associated with a shielding means (10) that is provided in the hollow space (3) of the ventilation attachment (1) and deflects the exiting blood away from the ventilation. |
