PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technology for quickly and properly detecting a collision mode in a side collision of a vehicle.

SOLUTION: This occupant restraint system 100 mounted on the vehicle has a constitution for detecting information on displacement of a setting area 123 caused by deflective operation to the vehicle inside of a door beam 110 by a detection sensor 120, by presetting the setting area 123 in the door beam 110 installed in a space 13 partitioned by a door outer panel 11 and a door inner panel 12 of a vehicle door 10a.
