<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil which enables simple fitting of a replaceable ink tank at a specified appropriate position for use. <P>SOLUTION: This writing utensil is equipped with a forward barrel 30 having a pen point 20 provided at the forward end and at least, a freely detachable rear barrel 40, with a replaceable ink tank 31 internally filled with an ink to supply the ink. In addition, an ink supply orifice 312 of the replaceable ink tank 31 is arranged opposite to an ink supply tube terminal part 308 inside the forward barrel 30 in such a state that the rear barrel 40 is removed. Further, the rear barrel 40 is fitted to the forward barrel 30 so as to cover the replaceable ink tank 31. In this case, the rear end part of the replaceable ink tank 31 comes into contact with the inner surface rear end part 42 of the rear barrel 40, and the ink supply orifice 312 is pressed toward the ink supply tube 308 following the fitting of the rear barrel 40 toward the forward barrel 30.
