<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new proton-conducting polymer solid electrolyte which functions under an unhumidified or low humidified condition. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a proton-conducting compound comprising a guanidine compound salt produced by reacting a guanidine compound having a polymerizable unsaturated double bond, which is obtained by reacting guanidine with an acrylic acid derivative, with a Bronsted acid, and a proton-conducting polymer comprising a polymer obtained by homopolymerizing the guanidine compound salt or copolymerizing the guanidine compound salt and a crosslinking agent having two or more polymerizable unsaturated double bonds. The proton-conducting compound or proton-conducting polymer can be used for a proton-conducting solid electrolyte, and this proton-conducting solid electrolyte is useful as the material of an electrochemical cell such as a fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
