摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional navigation system for calculating beforehand and instructing an approach for not causing movement disorder after an operation upon a neurosurgical operation, and to provide medical economic effects by sure and safe operation execution, excellent treatment results and shortening of a hospitalization period. <P>SOLUTION: A stimulation threshold and a movement inducing potential amplitude are recorded for each of 64 brain surface electrodes (a distance between the electrodes is 5 to 10 mm). The fact that it is the brain cortex or the white matter with a movement function is registered in a three-dimensional image on a computer and recognized, and a motor area is morphologically and functionally identified instantly. The method is an epoch-making method of predicting and alarming the decline of the movement function by the attenuation of a potential accompanying the progress of an operation for which the motor area can not be identified just by a morphological method, calculating a sure and safe operation method beforehand, and instructing the best approach direction on a computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
