<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of controlling a heat storage amount of a heat storage unit to be reduced, and improving energy saving performance by reducing a radiation loss from the heat storage unit. <P>SOLUTION: This heat pump water heater comprises a heat pump cycle 20 constituted by connecting a compressor 21, a heat exchanger 22 for hot water supply, a throttle device 23 and an evaporator 24 by pipes, and the heat storage unit 31 for storing the heat of the liquid heated by using the heat pump cycle 20, and a circulation passage is formed of the heat storage unit 31, a circulation pump 38 and the heat exchanger 22 for hot water supply. This heat pump water heater further comprises a flow rate detecting means 39 for detecting the water circulation amount of the circulation pump 38, an inlet temperature detecting means 22B for detecting a temperature of the water entering into the heat exchanger 22 for hot water supply, and a hot water supply temperature detecting means 22C for detecting a hot water supply temperature from the heat exchanger 22 for hot water supply, and the heat storage amount of the heat storage unit is calculated on the basis of the detection values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
