PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable data transmitting/receiving terminal device and portable communication system using the same in which data of electronic mail or the like can be easily transmitted/received free of charge without using a telephone line. SOLUTION: A certain terminal successively and automatically transmits/receives data of electronic mail or the like to/from a plurality of transmitting/receiving terminals using a weak radio wave. Between the terminal and another terminal existent within an area capable of conducting radio communication, the transmitted data are received by a communication unit, the received data are stored in a temporary storage memory (RAM), and received data stored in the RAM are displayed on a liquid crystal display.
