PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inspecting a capacitor unit used for various electronic apparatus that can assure high precision through non-destructive test. SOLUTION: In the method, capacitors of which a pair of electrodes are taken out from a terminal board 5 and a metal case 4 are provided adjacent to each other, and the terminal board 5 of the adjacent capacitors 9 and 10 and the metal case 4 are connected with each other in series by means of a connection plate 11 by laser welding. When inspecting such a capacitor unit, a displacement sensor is used to measure the heights of a laser light applied apart and a laser light not-applied part in the connection plate 11. In this case, the part not applied by a laser light is used as a reference plane, and when the applied part is projecting from the external surface side than the reference plane, its welding condition is determined normal, and, when it is recessed therefrom than the reference plane, its welding condition is determined abnormal.
