PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rotation of a second console lid in a state where a first console lid erects or turns reversely. SOLUTION: This locking device of a console box is furnished with housing 21 provided on a front part of the first or second console lid 12, 13, a locking knob 22 provided free to rise and set on the housing, a hook 24 constituted to be engaged with the other console lid in a state where the locking knob is projected from the housing and to be disengaged in a state where it sinks and a spring 23 to energize the locking knob so as to be projected from the housing. It is also furnished with a ball 26 built in the housing free to move to a lower stage position and an upper stage position in the inside of the housing, a guide wall 28 to guide the ball on the lower stage to the upper stage in a state where the first console lid 12 opens a floor console 11 and a receiver part 29 to prohibit sinking of the ball moved to the upper stage position in the housing of the locking knob by holding it with the guide wall 28.
