PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strong adhesive gas barrier film having transparency possible to see directly through a content and having a gas barrier property as high as that of aluminum foil, and moreover in which there is neither occurrence of delamination nor deterioration of the gas barrier property even after treatment on boiling sterilization, retort sterilization, etc., is made, and which can be suitably used for a package of foods, drugs, etc., and a laminated packaging material using the film. SOLUTION: In the strong adhesive gas barrier transparent film in which at least a transparent inorganic thin film layer is laminated via a transparent primer layer onto at least one side of a thermoplastic polymer film, the transparent primer layer is characterized in that existence of C, N, O, and Si is confirmed by ESCA analysis (analysis conditions: X-ray source monochrome AlKα, X-ray output 30 W).
