PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner remotely operable regardless of an installation place of an air cleaner body, for solving the problem of the conventional air cleaner that since the position of a remote control receiving part is fixed, a remote control operation cannot be performed depending on the installation place of the air cleaner. SOLUTION: The air cleaner body is provided with a light receiving unit 6 receiving transmission signals from a remote controller 8 remote-operating a fan motor 3, and a movable part 7 adjusting the position of the light receiving unit 6 therein. The movable part 7 is formed of a rotary shaft 7a and a belt 7b and is connected to the light receiving unit 6, can move the position of the light receiving unit 6 correspondingly to the installation place of the air cleaner body 1, and the light receiving unit 6 can receive the transmission signals, thus providing the air cleaner which a user easily use with the remote control operation.
