The hand brake lever (1) is made of casting material and a front lever section is provided in form of a gripping part (4). A central lever section (5) is provided for receiving a locking device. The hand brake lever has a rear lever section (6) with a traction unit support. The gripping part has a longitudinally extended flange profile form, which is returned at a base geometry of a double-T-profile with a vertical rod (14) and with flanges (15,16) stabled from the vertical rod.
