<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for precisely placing a beverage brewing filter (12) into a beverage brew cup (14). <P>SOLUTION: Air pressure and velocity are used to overcome variations in the filter (12) or environment. A hard stopper surface (36) and a filter catch (18) are used to catch a filter (12) at a first position (28), and to shuttle the filter (12) to a second position (46) to be placed in a brew cup (14).
