PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide suitable for a slide mechanism in which the used amount of the material of a clad part and productivity are not sacrificed and bending in the width direction is suppressed. SOLUTION: An optical waveguide film 10 has: an optical waveguide main body 16 provided with a clad part 14 and a waveguide core 12 embedded in the clad part 14; and a coating part 18 which coats and encloses the periphery of the optical waveguide main body 16 (clad part 14), wherein the coating part 18 is so disposed that the figure of the cross section along the direction perpendicular to the propagation direction of light of the waveguide core 12 has a higher aspect ratio than that of the figure of the cross section of the clad part 14.
