PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of improving mounting accuracy, in particular, to a float switch by correcting relative displacement of a drain pump and the float switch to a drain pan, and improving the quality in motion of the float switch by correctly detecting a water level of the drainage accumulated in the drain pan. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 6 is received inside of an indoor unit body 1 as a housing, the drain pan 7 receiving the drainage generated in the heat exchanger, is disposed at a lower portion of the heat exchanger, the water level of the drainage accumulated in the drain pan is detected by the float switch 20, and the drain pump 10 is operated on the basis of a detection signal of the float switch to pump up the drainage accumulated in the drain pan and to discharge the drainage to the external.
