PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely recover dust stored in a dust collection box. SOLUTION: This indoor unit is applied to an air conditioner provided with a filter (25) on a casing (20) mounted on a ceiling, and conditioning the indoor air sucked inside of the casing (20) through the filter (25). The dust collection box (40) for storing the dust conveyed from a dust removing means (26) removing the dust from the filter (25) through a conveying passage (38), is disposed outside of the casing (20). The dust collection box (40) is provided with a dust inflow opening (41) connected with the conveying passage (38), a dust recovering opening (43) for recovering the stored dust at the external, and an exhaust opening (42), the dust recovering opening (43) is disposed at one side portion of the dust collection box (40), and the exhaust opening (42) is disposed at the other side portion of the dust collection box (40).
