PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a steering device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A torque controlling motor 25 for controlling a torque acting on a steering member, a planetary gear mechanism 19 interposed between the steering member and a turning wheel and a transmission ratio varying motor 20 for driving the planetary gear mechanism 19 are arranged coaxially. The position of at least part of at least one of the torque controlling motor 25 and the transmission ratio varying motor 20 is overlapped with the position of the planetary gear mechanism 19 in the axial direction S.
