PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse osmosis membrane which can retain permeability over a longer period, a reverse osmosis membrane device, and a method of hydrophilizing a reverse osmosis membrane. SOLUTION: The reverse osmosis membrane having a polyvinyl alcohol adhered thereto is characterized in that the polyvinyl alcohol is an ionic polyvinyl alcohol. Preferably, a cationic PVA is adhered to a reverse osmosis membrane, and thereafter an anionic PVA is adhered thereto. More preferably, an ionic polymer other than PVAs is further adhered to the reverse osmosis membrane. The reverse osmosis membrane device is provided with this reverse osmosis membrane. The method of hydrophilizing a reverse osmosis membrane is characterized by bringing an ionic polyvinyl alcohol into contact with the reverse osmosis membrane. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
